The March Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 21 at 2:00 pm EDT, during which the Fed will publish its rate statement and is expected to hike interest rates by 25 bps, which will be the first interest rate lift under Chair Jerome Powell. The US 2-Year T-Note Future have been sold from an all-time-high of $108.64 in June 2016. The 2-Year T-Note (chart above via Oanda) and are in a neatly controlled algorithmic downtrend since September 2017. The T-Note bear market may not have ended here but it is now setting up for a short term reversal at least. We are now long the 2-Year T-Note, preparing for a buy-the-news event and may add more in case of a lower spike on Wednesday, March 21.
